For 15 years, I've worked at the intersection of science, technology, and the human condition: from interplanetary exploration at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory to global product strategy at Microsoft. My work is centered around complex, emerging challenges building the strategies, capabilities, and connections needed to move them forward.

At NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, I pioneered the product and industrial design capability, embedding design within mission formulation, robotics, Earth science, and deep-space exploration. I helped shape mission concepts including Europa Lander and Mars Helicopter and numerous Earth satellites. As a founding member of JPL’s in-house creative studio, I developed strategic storytelling capabilities and experiences that translated science and exploration into compelling narratives for decision-makers and the public, strengthening the connection between space exploration and society.

At Microsoft, I held principal design leadership roles spanning education, AI, digital trust and sustainability activating design across Windows, Surface, Xbox, HoloLens, and Education. I built strategies and organizational capabilities that shaped responsible innovation, inclusive experiences, and the future of computing including establishing Microsoft's first Design for Sustainability practice and embedding sustainability and circular thinking into early product innovation.

Today, I'm building the next chapter through Design for Disaster Response LA and Design as an Earthling to explore how design can help create more resilient relationships between technology, society, and the living planet.

Looking at Earth from the perspective of space changed how I think about innovation: not simply as a pursuit of progress, but as an opportunity to deepen our relationship with the living systems that sustain us.
